The two warriors are the primary pressure of the build with the dom mesmer assisting spikes using shatter enchantment and diversion or shame on the monks. Cry of Frustration functions as an excellent anti-spike interrupt. Unlock energy drain mesmers the dom mesmer focuses on disrupting the enemy at key moments.

The water ele functions with the group. He snares offense when possible and will assist the warriors when they call for it (or during spikes.) Once a target is snared it has a difficult time kiting damage. Armor of Mist allows this character to swap as a runner and to catch enemies while they attempt to retreat. Also vital for this character is using heal party to maintain party health. Spam rust on enemy energy burn mesmers, warriors, and/or monks with signet of devotion.

The ineptitude mesmer is an anti-warrior character. Drop conjur on enemy warriors to slowly reduce their health. When the enemy warriors move in for the spike you drop ineptitude or clumsiness on them. This will destroy their ability to follow up attacks while applying pressure to their offense.

The air ele is the runner and assists with maintaining party health.

I really liked the rotting flesh you used in the build. It takes very good timing to be used to good effect, but I watched you use it a few times that absolutely rocked the enemy team, when they were in the phase where they're on the brink of cracking. Though it seemed like you used it a lot on NPCs where it won't spread which seemed pretty expensive for the effect. Definitely a nice build guys

Eh? The build doesn't include Rotting Flesh.

WTF Ur using Rust LOL ZOMG! (Note: Sarcasm)
My preference is Mantra of Recovery over Glyph of Renewal on Dom Mesmers, but that may be too heavy on energy and the build doesn't look like it can drop anything for more management.
I might consider dropping Bull's Charge for Charge on the first Warrior and switching a utility to Bull's Strike to get a group speed buff instead of a single person one.
It seems a bit light on hex removal, with a single hex removal spell with a twenty second recharge.
Other than that, seems solid.

At one point the build did have disease on the ineptitude mesmer. It ended getting bumped when I posted this. It then got reimplemented. Here is the alternate ineptitude mesmer with disease.

Yeah, like the guy said, this build comes up short in hex removal. A diversion dom mesmer could play with your monks all day long. Other than that, the build looks real solid.

Biggest problem with this build was that the monks (especially the healer) were shut down to easily through good Dom mesmers (Blackout, Shame, Diversion, Backfire). The healer also had problems surviving on his own when the boon prot was shutdown or word of healing or any of his other spells were Signet of Humility'ed/Diversioned/Arcane Thievery'ed. Not the best build we've run, but it was successful overall.

The Axe warrior has Rush instead of Sprint.

The Water Ele has Purge Signet instead of Rust. It was the only really long lasting hex so we opted to take it out.

Disease is back on the Ineptitude guy because Disease is so ridiculously awesome.

Update first post please Wheel

I still don't understand the logic behind energy tap. Wouldn't something like power drain be a lot more effective? Similar or much better energy denial based on the casting cost of the spell as well as disrupting their strategy, and quite a bit better return.

What is the ineptitude mesmer like in warrior shutdown? I always wanted to try that after the buff it got.

You really have to play one to fully appreciate the effects in GvG. You don't try and completely stop the warriors like with spiteful or shadow of fear. You watch them converge for a spike and then completely and totally screw up their spike. If they frenzy there is a good chance they will nearly kill themselves. This tends to allow your Guild to push up harder with less fear and cause enemy warriors to play more shallow. It is extremely effective in ruining a warrior spike if well timed.

The ineptitude mesmers attention is very heavily focused on warriors. He needs to watch every single one of the enemy warriors to spot the spikes before they happen and carefully observe to try and punish them for using frenzy. He doesn't have much time to hunt down interrupts for energy. Energy tap lets him just suck some energy from a warrior (they usually have at least 6) without breaking his focus. If I could have squeezed disease anywhere else in the build I would have.

Rotting Flesh without Tainted Flesh...
Isn't it risky?

Sigh... another tombs player addicted to Tainted :P

You don't need Tainted for your rotting. You need

a) Someone not retarded spreading the disease.
b) Semi-intelligent Warriors that won't spread to their own team.
c) Heal Party.
d) To know when to stop using Disease.

When used effectively Rotting will hurt the enemy much more than it will hurt you.

Hmm sounds like the mesmer on warrior control needs patience, timing and common sense. Well thats off the list for my guild lol

I can see it being nice if you had a capable player on the job, he may have not much to do versus caster spike tho.

when faced with caster, you gotta hope for a wanding caster in there

but as a monk in gvg, i can assure you that its Very Nice to have such a mesmer around, when he knows what he's doing.

theres nothing much more enjoyable than seeing your mesmer interupt Backbreaker and crushing blow

Or to see a Warrior come at you and have his hammer swing back and turn red then promptly fall over.

Those random +12XPs make my day.
